Will Young plays the Pink Pavillion

Will Young, one of the most successful British male popstars of this millennium, wowed thousands of fans in the famous Pink Pavillion on Sunday night, just 24 hours after the curtain closed on this year’s Eisteddfod in Ebbw Vale.
The first time the Pink Pavilion has been used as a venue for not an Eisteddfod event, the concert was hailed as a great success and another major coup for Push4 and the South Wales Valleys area.
The Minister for Heritage, Alun Ffred Jones, said the timing of the concert to follow the Eisteddfod was “an innovation in the events industry in Wales” and “a perfect example of what can be achieved by working together”.
The concert was a collaboration between ourselves, the Major Events Unit in the Welsh Assembly Government, this year’s National Eisteddfod host authority, Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, and the Valleys Heart and Soul campaign.
