Double Brit Award winning chart toppers JLS will headline this summer’s Ponty’s Big Weekend in July as Rhondda Cynon Taf gets its One Shot with an exclusive performance by the country’s hottest act. With the 7,000 capacity tickets selling out in under an hour, it’s guaranteed to be another musical extravaganza.

Fresh from their chart and album success JB, Marvin, Aston and Oritse will take to the stage Saturday, July 24, performing for crowds in the stunning Ynysangharad Park as part of this year’s Ponty’s Big Weekend which will feature a number of other top acts on both Saturday and Sunday (a free family day). The line up for the Sunday night event is still being confirmed, but the headline is set to be as popular as last year’s performers, Only Men Aloud.

Push4, in conjunction with our sister company P4Music, Wales’ largest independent music promoter, are once again promoting and event managing this year’s Ponty’s Big Weekend.   Dave Driscoll, our Special Events Coordinator said: “JLS are probably the hottest band in the country at the moment and it’s a real coup for both us, Push4, and Rhondda Cynon Taf Council to get them to headline this year’s Ponty’s Big Weekend, making sure that local people have access to the top performers. There are more acts to be announced in the coming weeks for what promises to be another great weekend.”

We have worked hard to secure a 2010 line up that is just as impressive and we know we are once again set to host a smash hit weekend that will draw the attention of music lovers to our county borough”

Now in its third consecutive year, Ponty’s Big Weekend has become one of the highlights in the Welsh Musical Event Calendar.
